Requirements

We are recruiting Front of House (FOH) staff for a premium casual waterfront restaurant & bar located in the Port Macquarie Marina. This is a full-time role for polished service professionals who enjoy delivering warm, professional hospitality in a busy, scenic venue.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Deliver polished hosting and table service: greet, seat, take orders and manage table turns smoothly.

  • Provide confident menu and beverage guidance (wine, beer, cocktails, zero-proof options), including clear communication of allergens and spice levels.

  • Coordinate service pacing with the pass and bar; accurately enter orders in the POS, print dockets and process payments.

  • Maintain floor standards using opening/closing checklists: section setup, glassware/silverware polishing and overall cleanliness.

  • Manage guest feedback and service recovery with empathy; escalate any issues promptly to the duty manager.

  • Support events and large bookings; assist with basic barista or bar service during peak periods (as trained).

What you’ll bring:

  • 1–2+ years’ FOH experience in premium casual or fine dining environments.

  • Professional, warm guest communication and confidence in a busy service.

  • Strong POS accuracy, cash handling and attention to detail under pressure.

  • Knowledge of wine styles, classic cocktails and food pairings, with the ability to upsell appropriately.

  • Allergen awareness and confident communication of dietary information between guests and kitchen.

  • Excellent teamwork, time management and situational awareness on a busy floor.

  • Impeccable grooming and a calm, proactive service mindset.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Current NSW RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) – essential.

  • Valid Australian work rights – no visa sponsorship is available for this FOH role.

  • Availability for nights, weekends and public holidays as rostered.

  • Willingness to relocate to Port Macquarie if not already local.

  • Referees and a police check may be requested as part of the recruitment process.
